Today I want to introduce you to my printed portfolio.
For a while now I had the idea in my mind of having my portfolio printed to have something to show in client- and agency-meetings or to show it to friends.
(more on the topic of why it is important to print your works in the near future)
When Saal-Digital offered me the possibility to test their photobook I got to it and selected some of my most suitable shots. I had my eye on Saal for quite a while and only heard good about the quality of their prints.
After quite a number of shots was collected and the testing-budget was almost exhausted I discovered the option of leather bindings which could also be upholstered.
This combination gives the book a very valuable look and quite a bit of character. Fitting to my ONA-bag it is available in cognac-leather, so I could not resist.
The design of the book is absolutely foolproof, Saals Mac App lists all the design-options neatly arranged and the pictures itself can be arranged easily via drag&drop.
But now to the centerpiece of the book:
The prints itself are of finest quality and suiting source material provided, tacksharp and colors are displayed cleanly. A special feature is the panorama-option which gave me the possibility to display a picture over two pages. Extremely useful if you plan your book in the A4 format but want to fit in the occasional horizontal format.
All things considered I’m very content with the quality of the book, I will gladly use it for the presentation of my works and will also do more prints in the future.
